Lauren enjoys exploring design ideas and challenges through an iterative process. She is passionate about the interactions between people and the environment, blurring the lines between indoors and outdoors, and paying close attention to context and detail. She believes that designing places should simultaneously elevate humanity and natural systems.
Growing up in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, Lauren’s love for landscape began. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor's in Environmental Policy & Planning and went on to work for a nonprofit in Costa Rica focusing on community development. Following her short stint in Costa Rica, she moved to Austin and earned her Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Texas.
In her spare time you can find her outside running around Town Lake, kayaking, or listening to live music. She also volunteers at Austin Pets Alive! and the Capital Area Food Bank. She loves to bake, watercolor, and travel to new places.
