Allegheny Landing

Allegheny Landing is situated on the Allegheny River and nestled between two of Pittsburgh’s iconic sister bridges. Embracing its history as the nation’s first riverfront sculpture park, the design uses art, color, whimsy, and play to foster joy, wonder, and exploration.

The park’s revitalization focuses on creating a flexible, accessible, and welcoming destination that allows for play, art, events, and green open space. The design makes and embraces meaningful connections to the water, pedestrian routes and bikeways, and surrounding neighborhoods. An event stage and pavilion, splash pad, festival street, play areas, art elements, enhanced bikeway, and waterfront boardwalk activate the park and draw people in. Utilizing green infrastructure and sustainable strategies, the Landing will provide a framework for the success of this public amenity for generations to come.
