Clare Drummond
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
Clare comes to dwg. from Indiana, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University. Despite spending most of her life among the woods, creeks, and cornfields of the midwestern USA, she is no stranger to Austin, having previously spent a year with dwg. as an intern.
As a problem-solver and visual thinker, Clare sees landscape architecture as an opportunity to engage with active systems, draw solutions, and advocate for better outdoor spaces.
She is interested in the relationship between people's access to public space and the necessity of ecological restoration, and spent the last year of her studies investigating the reuse of abandoned urban spaces. She is excited to be part of a team that works collaboratively to ask and answer questions about the places we inhabit.
Outside of the office, Clare is an active illustrator and visual artist. Her favorite thing about Austin is Barton Springs at night.
