Daniel Woodroffe

As President and Founder of dwg., Daniel is a leading voice of the urban architectural landscape. His award-winning national and international work explores the relationship between landscape, architecture, green infrastructure and art to in support of creating exceptional designs that are socially and environmentally equitable and resilient. Growing up in the UK, he attended Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh to earn a dual honors BA / MA degree in Landscape Architecture, and then moved to Austin in 1998. His work spans a multitude of scales and focuses on adaptive reuse and urban transformations that amplify climate resilience and the creation of engaging, social spaces. He is passionate about celebrating storytelling through the use of authentic materials, local crafts and trades that leverage a rich sense of place and distinctiveness that is unique to each project.
Daniel is the recipient of the 2021 Kay Tiller Texas ASLA Chapter Service Award. He has previously served as the President of Texas ASLA, the chair of the ASLA Central Texas Chapter, the board of AIA Austin and the Downtown Austin Alliance, the President of the Austin Parks Foundation, and the Chair of the Waterfront Planning and Advisory Board in Austin.
