Ethan Primm
DESIGNER
Ethan grew up bouncing back and forth between the rural forests and urban skyscrapers in and around St. Louis, Missouri. He received his BLA from Kansas State University surrounded by the golden prairies of the flint hills. He joined the dwg. team in 2014, having traded in his desk in the shadow of The Arch for the Texas Hill Country and the opportunity to contribute to the phenomenon that is ATX.
His professional focus has been ensuring effective communication of ideas throughout the life of a project; from the initial stages of conceptual design, to the storytelling of renderings, through to clear and efficient construction documents.
Ethan is driven by the desire to help create the sorts of projects that add value to the cultural landscape of a city for generations to come. He enjoys the collaborative challenge of translating the collective vision of his client and the larger design team into functional spaces that speak to each site’s unique context and program requirements. On weekends you’ll likely find him at a concert or the movie theater and between showtimes he’ll be riding his bike around town, sketching Austin landmarks building a heightened awareness of the city he now calls home. If you’re curious about any recent films that are out, shoot Ethan an email – as our resident movie critic, the odds are very good that he’s already seen it!
