Kim Harding

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

Landscape architecture is a bit like salt: an essential mineral used to enhance qualities of its object. Kim is plenty salty. Originally from the New Jersey shores of the Atlantic, Kim re-routed her Manhattan-based career in Architecture and moved Southwest to study Landscape Architecture at the University of Texas. Charmed by Austin's weird culture, she decided to stay and help make it weirder, and by weirder she means increasing the presence of natural systems in cities.

Kim is interested in how local ecologies can inform urban places, from large systems like watersheds down to the details of material connections. In her spare time you can find her skating for the Texas Rollergirls, growing habaneros to make hot sauce, or cooling off on the concrete floor with her dog.
