Laura grew up in an artistic family in Cambridge, UK, where drawing and creativity were ingrained in her from an early age. This led her to study art, completing a BA in Drawing at the University of the Arts London, followed by an MA in Landscape Architecture at Writtle College. Most recently, in 2026, she completed the RHS Level 2 Practical Horticulture qualification at King’s College, Cambridge, achieving a Distinction.

Laura is a multidisciplinary Associate Landscape Architect with extensive experience delivering projects from initial concept through detailed design and construction to completion. She began her career at a leading international design practice in London, later working independently as a landscape and garden design consultant before joining dwg. in 2024. This breadth of experience has given her a strong understanding of both the creative and technical aspects of landscape architecture, with particular expertise in translating design ideas into successful, deliverable schemes.

Laura is passionate about urban regeneration and fascinated by how placemaking can shape and enrich the urban realm, improving biodiversity, adapting to climate change, and influencing the experiences of the people who inhabit these spaces. She has particular expertise in planting design and horticulture, underpinned by a strong knowledge of plants and trees and their successful establishment within designed landscapes.

Her wider specialisms include community engagement, sustainability, playground design, parks, community gardens, project management, and the design and regeneration of town centres and High Streets. Laura is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute and has acted as a mentor to junior members, supporting their professional development.

A true plant lover, Laura spends much of her spare time gardening, growing vegetables, experimenting with plant combinations, and propagating her collection of rare tropical houseplants. She also has a passion for restoring and renovating heritage properties and is normally found with either a plant, power tool, or paintbrush in her hand. A keen runner, Laura has also successfully completed two marathons.
