Madisyn Pauley
DESIGNER
A West Virginia native, Madisyn became interested in landscape architecture in response to the disparity in development between Appalachia and urban centers. Her experience and observations prompted her to reflect on what makes a place livable and desirable, leading her to earn a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from West Virginia University in 2021.
She believes good design can positively impact physical and mental health. The design of open space has the possibility of simultaneously being authentic and personal while also supporting multifunctionality—providing immense benefits for a wide variety of users. She is drawn to the challenge of creating socially sustainable landscapes, from eco- and agritourism to the redevelopment of post-industrial landscapes that benefit the communities left behind.
When she’s not at the office, you can find her working on improving her skills in digital illustration, tennis, and cooking.
